CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year a limited number of scholarships are provided to full-time students to assist with the expenses in attending the Curriculum and Pedagogy Conference.
Scholarships for the 2007 conference will be provided for a maximum of three days/nights accommodations at Balcones Springs. Please note that scholarship recipients will be required to room with other scholarship recipients only. Accommodations will be made to keep rooms “same sex” and meet other requests if possible.
In exchange for receiving the scholarship, recipients will be expected to assist with coverage at the registration table, and/or the book sales room during the conference. We will accommodate times around presentation schedules to avoid conflicts.
Priority for awarding scholarships will be given for the following:
- Students presenting at the conference
- Students who hold full-time status and do not hold full-time employment elsewhere
- Students who have post-comprehensive doctoral candidate status
The application form must be completed by the doctoral student, forwarded to his or her doctoral advisor (c.c.ed to Dan Marshall at jdm13@psu.edu), and then forwarded by the advisor to Dan Marshall at jdm13@psu.edu to indicate the advisor’s endorsement of the applicant. Any applications not forwarded by the advisor will not be considered for the award.
Deadline for Doctoral Student Scholarship Applications is July 15, 2007.
